Wedding cakes with beads. Beaded sweets Step-by-step master class with video
We continue to make various bead products based on the bead braiding technique, which today we will make candy.
We will need:
- bead with a diameter of 8 mm;
- Czech beads No. 10 in two colors (as an example, I took blue and yellow beads);
- 2 beads of size No. 8, close in color to one of the selected colors of small beads (I have them yellow);
- thin fishing line and beading needle.
First, we braid the bead with size 10 beads using the braiding technique described in detail.
To braid the beads, take a fishing line 80 cm long and, after braiding is completed, secure the rest of the fishing line and cut it off.
The bead can be braided with beads of one color, but to make the candy more beautiful, I braided the bead with beads of two colors, collecting beads of the same color for long rows, and beads of a different color for short rows. True, in order for the resulting pattern on the bead to remain symmetrical, I had to abandon the last - smallest - row, for which I usually take only 4 beads. Of course, in this case, small gaps remain between the rows of beads, but due to the alternation of rows of different colors, these gaps are practically invisible on the finished product.
So, in total, when weaving the beads, I made 12 rows of beads: in odd rows - 8 blue beads, and in even rows - 5 yellow beads.
We leave this braided bead aside for a while and move on to making the ends of the candy wrapper.
We braid these ends separately; for each end we take a fishing line 30 cm long.
Step 1:
We put a large bead (size No. 8) on the fishing line and place it a few centimeters from the free end of the fishing line. We pass the needle through this bead from the side of the free end of the fishing line.
We tighten the thread, thus fixing the bead on the fishing line.
For greater strength, you can once again pass the needle through the fishing line so that the bead is secured with two loops.
Next weaving the tip of the candy wrapper, we then use only size 10 beads.
Step 2:
We collect 6 yellow beads on the fishing line, then immediately - 3 blue and 6 more yellow.
Step 3:
We pass the needle through the large bead towards the free end of the fishing line.
Step 4:
We pass the needle in the opposite direction through the last 6 yellow beads collected.
We tighten the line. Since we did not touch the large bead in this step, the fishing line makes a loop around it.
Step 5:
We collect 3 blue and 6 yellow beads onto the fishing line.
Next, repeat step 3 - pass the needle through the large bead towards the free end of the thread.
Next, repeat step 4 - pass the needle in the opposite direction through the last 6 yellow beads cast on.
and tighten the line.
Using the same technique, we continue to make a “whisk” over a large bead; we need to sequentially repeat steps 5, 3 and 4 two more times so that the total number of yellow segments becomes five.
Next, we collect 3 blue beads onto the fishing line.
and pass the needle first through the very first segment of 6 yellow beads, and then immediately through the large bead.
We pull out the fishing line - the tip of the candy wrapper is ready.

- glass beads;
- pearl round beads with a diameter of 4 mm;
- 3 mm bicone;
- several small yellow mother-of-pearl buttons 4 mm;
- ball for decorating a cake (faceted bead);
- another bead (or ball) 10 mm to put inside the cake. It will help the finished product keep its shape.
